Anna Rodgers is a director/ producer. For over 12 years she has worked in documentary in Ireland, and specializes in working on sensitive human interest stories as well as music, history and arts related films. Her debut feature “Today is better than two tomorrows” was selected for over 25 festivals worldwide
including Full Frame and Thessaloniki. It was also nominated for 8 awards and won “Highly commended” at the Radharc Awards. Anna also directed “If these walls could talk“ (Reality Bites) which has been selected for over 20 festivals including AFI Silverdocs. It won Stranger than Fiction 2010 Best Short Film, Thin Line Film Festival 2010 Best Short Film, and Kerry Film Festival Best Short Documentary. Anna's most recent film "Hold on Tight" was Highly Commended at Iris Prize and won the Absolut Gaze Filmmakers award. Anna produced “The Yellow Bittern – the life and times of Liam Clancy” (IFB/ RTÉ). In 2008 she produced the concert film in New York “Liam Clancy and Friends: Live at The Bitter End” featuring Shane MacGowan, Odetta and Tom Paxton. She's obsessed with her dog, but likes animals of all kinds including spiders which she rescues from the bath.
