John Murray

In the last 20 years, John Murray has produced and directed over 100 films for some of the world's leading broadcasters. He was won numerous national and international awards including a 2017 Grierson award, the highest honours in natural history filmmaking at Jackson Hole & Wildscreen Festivals as well as an Emmy nomination for his cinematography in 2015. John made his very first film in 1991 chronicling the first Irish expedition to attempt an 8000 metre Himalayan peak and since then has made films on Everest, the North Pole, the South Pole, across Siberia and the Sahara amongst many other locations. Career highlights would include producing the multi-award winning 'The Farthest', 'Here Was Cuba', 'Broken Tail' and 'On a River in Ireland'.
